The Focus on Fibre Art Association (FFAA) was founded in February 1998  as a not-for-profit association to provide a showcase for fibre artists. Our mission statement is “to encourage, foster and develop among the community excellence and appreciation of fibre as an art form“.

Membership is open to all, but not limited to, fibre artists and fibre art guilds,

We sponsor biennial juried competitions and exhibitions of fibre art including but not limited to: traditional rug hooking, quilting, needlework, textile design, hand knitting, weaving, tapestry, cloth dolls and wearable (clothing/accessories in any technique).

In conjunction with member guilds we sponsor fibre art workshops to provide opportunities for exploration of new techniques and artistic development.

Our members offer demonstrations throughout the year of fibre art techniques at local and regional art walks, art festivals, artisan events and markets.
