Val Flannigan from Kelowna BC is accredited by the McGown Rug Hooking School and Western Canadian Rug Hooking Association .
Join Val in a fun, 3-day rug hooking workshop where you will create a bag or purse of your choice.
There are many options for the patterns including your own design or choose from commercial purse and bag patterns by many designers available for purchase. The instructor can provide two basic patterns for sale. On these the student can create their own design or we can work something out if desired. Students can contact me for direction on the many options. Val can also arrange for backing on which the student can make a specific pattern for a tablet or computer cover. Depending on which direction the students go, a sewing machine might be needed.
Supply list will be provided upon registration.
Basic rug hooking skills are required, students will need a few tools: hook, frame and a method of cutting wool. Other basic tools, ie scissors, tape measure, markers, pens etc.
Val will also speak at the FFAA General Meeting on Sunday Oct 27, at 1:30 pm at The Orange Hub.
