Tanya Graham will teach one three-day workshop entitled Demystifying Abstract Art
– dates Monday 30 March to Wednesday 01 April, 2020
As well she will be presenting a talk on Thursday 02
April, 2020, Line Shape and Colour in 20th Century painting and
textiles for Edmonton Rug Hooking Guild.
The workshop will be open to ERHG members for the first few days and then open to all FFAA members after that.
Registration begin Friday, Jan 31 at 12 noon.
It is suitable for all levels of skills, from beginner to advanced. Tanya says anyone comfortable using a hook and wanting to explore the world of design will enjoy this class.
Born in the UK in 1944, Tanya Graham has taught in the public school systems of the UK, France, and Canada. Art and Art History, with a special interest in twentieth century painting, have been life-long areas of study.
From teaching crewel embroidery in the 1980s, Tanya came to rug hooking in 1994. She received her Ontario (OHCG) rug hooking teacher accreditation in 1996 and is an accredited McGown teacher.
Tanya Graham’s own work is informed by her environment in coastal British Columbia, and by her life experiences. Her rugs have been shown in group exhibitions in Canada and in the US.
