Angular Moyozashi Workshop with Kate Ward

This workshop is fully registered and closed to new registrations.

Due to popular demand Kate Ward is returning with another moyozashi sashiko workshop, this time concentrating on angular designs such as asanoha (hemp leaf), diamond stars (ganzegashi), and yosegi (parquetry block).

This one-day class will run from 10:00 am to 4 pm on January 29th, 2022 via zoom, with a maximum of 20 students.

Registration opens at 9 am on December 17, 2021 and closes at midnight January 10, 2022.

Participants will receive a confirmation notice once the minimum number of registrants have submitted their registration.

Registration fee is $20 to be paid once confirmation is received. Registrants will receive payment instructions with their confirmation of registration. A class handout will be sent once payment is received from the participant.

Supplies needed:

  • Sashiko thread (or embroidery thread, such as pearl cotton)
  • Sashiko needle (or sharp needle with a large eye, such as a crewel needle)
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Fabric marker (water soluble, fine pencil, etc.)
  • .5 meter of an even weave fabric such as unbleached cotton or linen
