Since 1998 Focus on Fibre Art Association has sponsored a biennial juried competition and exhibition of fibre art including but not limited to: traditional rug hooking, quilting, needlework, textile design, hand knitting, weaving/tapestry, cloth dolls and wearables (clothing/accessories in any technique).
The juried competitions are one of the ways FFAA meets its goal to encourage, foster and develop among the community excellence and appreciation of fibre as an art form.
Winners of present and past competitions are listed on the galleries page.
2020 Competition - 2020 Future in Focus
The theme for our next competition looks toward the future, following on past competitions which looked at the past with My Heritage in 2016 and the present with Climate Change in 2018. Now we look toward the future with 2020 Future in Focus.
Congratulations to Junior Weaver member, Josie Voth, whose theme suggestion was selected for the 2020 competition.
