Embellishing Your Appliqué with Pearl Braun-Dyck

Take a simple appliqué block and make it come alive with embroidery stitches! In this class you will use a base appliqué block and learn a variety of hand embroidery stitches to add texture and interest to your completed block. You will start off by learning each embroidery stitch on a “sample” piece that will become your miniature ‘stitching’ guide that you can refer back to at any time. Then you will go on to use that stitch on the completed appliqué block that you brought to class.

Pearl has a long history of quilting, both machine and hand, and teaching in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario and North Dakota. She is a past quilt store owner and a firm believer in the value of quilting guilds and the quilting community. She has had the privilege of creating commissioned quilts that reside in Manitoba, Ottawa and Germany.
