Machine Embroidered Flowers with Linda McBain Cuyler

Using a supplied photograph - Sunflower or Coneflower - you will paint and machine embroider a close-up flower scene to create a frame-able work of art. You will learn how to set up your machine for free-motion embroidery, and how to paint the background fabric-artist’s canvas. There will be time to experiment before starting the final project, a picture of a Sunflower or Echinacea flower (approximately 5” x 7”). Each flower will be unique and the flower centres will be highly textured with the possibility of adding some French knots or beads. By the end of the class, you and your machine will be creative friends.
